IS YOUR SCUBA TANK IN TEST?

Come and see us for your annual test to ensure a quick refill when diving is at its best.

Why you need to have your tank tested annually

Annual tests are completed to meet Australian Standards and are for your personal safety while diving.

Regular testing ensures your tanks are fit for use.

During testing, tanks are inspected internally and externally.

Steel tanks with internal rust are rumbled to re-polish to cylinder walls.

Never fully empty your tank - did you know that maintaining a small amount of pressure in your tank or cylinder will ensure moisture doesn't accumulate and degrade your tank interior.

Pure clean air.

Remove any oily deposits.

WHY MAINTAIN YOUR FIRE SAFETY EQUIPMENT?

Proper maintenance by trained service technicians will give you peace of mind that your fire safety equipment is in operational condition.

There are legislative requirements for commercial premises.

Fire safety on your boat

No matter whether your boat is used for commercial fishing, marine research or just a weekend out fishing with your mates, always ensure you have adequate fire safety equipment on board.

At the very least, this should always include an operable fire extinguisher and a fire blanket.

Not all fires are best handled with water and, when out on the seas or in the estuaries where water is obviously abundant, chemical or oil fires aboard your boat can be exacerbated by dousing with water, especially if a lack of preparation causes extra time while you scurry to bucket water to and fro. Speed of fire suppression for on-board fires will always be key in maintaining safety and limiting damage when out on the water.

Smoke alarms are compulsory in every home in Victoria

FEMS Smoke detectorsSince 1997, Victorian law regulates that smoke detectors must be installed in all homes, units, flats and townhouses. It is the responsibility of all owners and landlords to install working smoke alarms and to keep them functional and compliant with Australian Standards AS3786. Residential homes constructed or substantially renovated after August 1997 must have a smoke alarm connected to 240 volt mains power, and where installed they must also have a backup battery in case there is a loss of power.
